Performing & Fine Arts Department
La Salle has an outstanding Performing & Fine Arts program. As an essential part of our college preparatory community, our educators provide excellence in both teaching of content and in fostering a deep appreciation of the human need to express itself in art, music, or theater.
Visual Arts include 2-D applications such as drawing, printmaking, painting, mixed media, photography, and design principles as well as 3-D applications, including ceramics and sculpture. AP Studio Art is an intensive college level course for students interested in building a strong portfolio of work.
Musical Performing Arts include choir, guitar, band, and music technology. As one of the most popular electives, choir performs at events, mass, Baccalaureate, and more. Beginning and advanced guitar students learn both musical theory and practice in a variety of genres including classical, folk, liturgical, blues and more. Band musicians study music history, improvisation, and perform at various events throughout the year.
La Salle’s Theater Arts program produces 3 main stage productions each year in the fall, winter and spring as well as collaborating with other La Sallians in a variety of events such as Open Mic Nights, Artist’s Aiding Artist’s and Night on Broadway.
