The capstone is a culminating, semester-long course that invites students to pursue a meaningful, self-designed project rooted in curiosity, academic rigor, and personal growth. Through guided research and faculty mentorship, students develop and demonstrate mastery in five core areas: critical thinking, problem solving, research, communication, and reflection. Projects may explore academic, creative, service-oriented, or vocational interests and must be appropriately scoped, original, and grounded in evidence-based inquiry. Throughout the course, students develop a core question, conduct research, consult experts, develop a final product or solution, and present their work publicly. Because each project is unique and self-directed, students must submit a project proposal for approval prior to enrollment.
