Graduation Requirements
Credit Requirements
To earn a diploma from La Salle Prep, students must:
- Earn a minimum of 25.5 credits
- Meet all subject requirements (listed below)
- Take a minimum of six academic courses each semester
- Make up any course, required or elective, that they fail for a semester

11th - Catholic Moral Thinking / Catholic Social Teaching
12th - (choose 2) World Religions, Lasallian Ministry, Christian Lifestyles, or Honors Faith and Media - English - 4 credits
9th - English 1 E or English 1
10th - English 2 E, English 2 or Honors English 2
11th - English 3 E, English 3 or AP English 3
12th - English 4 E, English 4 or AP English 4 -
Mathematics - 3 credits

Two consecutive years of the same world language is required. Students who enter La Salle as 9th graders at an advanced level of world language must still complete two years of different levels of the same world language -

Any full year course or two semester courses listed under the Fine Arts department satisfies the Fine Arts graduation requirement. Fine Arts include the dramatic, visual, and performing arts (vocal and instrumental). -

Two semester courses listed under the Health and PE department satisfies the PE graduation requirement -
Communications - 0.5 credit (phased out with the Class of 2027)

Courses Taken Prior to 9th Grade
La Salle does not grant high school credit for a course taken prior to the 9th grade unless the course was taken as a high school credit and is documented on an official accredited high school transcript.
Courses taken outside of La Salle Prep During a Student's Enrollment at La Salle
Students must receive approval from the vice principal for academics prior to enrollment in off-campus studies to have these courses reflected on their transcript. La Salle does not grant credit for work done outside of a classroom setting (music lessons, athletics, etc.).
