Academic Forecasting: Forecasting is the process of selecting courses for the upcoming school year. We will provide a full overview of this process at Welcome Night on April 16, including details on course placement for English, math, science, and world language. In the meantime, you can explore the 2025-25 course catalog here.

MAP Testing: All incoming freshmen must take a MAP placement test to assist with math course placement for next year. La Salle will offer the test on Saturday, May 3 and Tuesday, May 6, with registration opening in April. If a student takes a spring MAP test at their current school, they may submit their results to La Salle instead of retaking the test.

Carpool: Students come from many locations within the Portland/Vancouver metropolitan area. Our registrar maintains a list of families interested in carpooling to and from school. Click here to join the list.

TriMet: Monthly TriMet passes are available online or via your phone and are valid for TriMet’s bus and light rail systems as well as the WES Commuter Rail and Portland Streetcar. The cost for a one-month pass is $28. Learn more here.

Drive and Park on Campus: Many students drive to campus and park in our school parking lot. All students who park on campus must obtain a La Salle Prep parking pass. Each spring interested students complete the application for the parking pass lottery. Priority is given to seniors first, juniors with siblings, and then juniors without siblings. Sophomores are not eligible for parking passes but are welcome to park along Fuller Road in front of our campus. There is no fee for the parking pass or for street parking.

La Salle will provide school-managed iPads to all incoming 9^th grade students beginning with the Class of 2029. 

Current research suggests that limiting distractions (e.g., social media, texting) on devices will likely create a more conducive environment for learning (Ophir et al., 2009; Ward et al., 2017). While we aspire to foster student agency and responsibility, school-managed iPads will better protect instructional time and contribute to student success. The cost will be included in the tuition structure, and students will receive their devices during orientation.

La Salle is a member of the 5A-Northwest Oregon Conference for activities and athletics as well as a member of the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA). For many of our team sports, we have three levels of participation: Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Freshman. In some cases, our third level team includes sophomores and is named JV2. In addition to the OSAA sports and activities listed below, you may be able to compete in competitive clubs (in italics) sponsored by separate organizations. The number of team levels we offer within each program are determined by participation numbers.
