La Salle’s STEM & Design Plunge is a free, 3-day experience where incoming freshmen meet new friends, tackle cool challenges, and get hands-on with 3D printers, laser engravers, and science labs in our Innovation & Design Center.

Missed the deadline? No problem! We’ve reopened applications — just for a short time — so YOU can still apply! Worried about the video? Don’t be! It’s just a quick 3-minute clip showing something you’re curious or excited about — a topic in STEM, a thing you made, an idea you love. Your face doesn’t even have to be on screen — we just want to hear your voice and your enthusiasm.

Join us for our Freshmen Day of Service on August 15 from 9:30 AM-12:30 PM. We will be partnering with SOLVE to conduct a clean-up on Fuller Road and around our campus. It is a great way to meet classmates and get comfortable serving, while getting a head start on service hours for the year.
If your student is interested in this opportunity:

• Complete the SOLVE permission and waiver form to be dropped off with your student on the day of the event

The Class of 2029 will gather on Sunday, August 24 from 12-8 PM for their first class retreat. This is a fun opportunity to connect with your class and meet new friends before the school year begins. More details to come.

All freshmen and transfer students will be on campus for an all-day academic orientation. Students will learn more about life at La Salle, have their school photo taken, complete an iPad/Tech orientation and run through their class schedule.

After dropping off your student for Academic Orientation, please plan to join us from 8:30 - 10 AM for coffee and a presentation by the administrative leadership team.

An email was sent out in late May with your student’s course placement information for English, Math, and Science (and World Language if applicable.) Class schedules and teacher assignments will be finalized over the summer and emailed to families in late August, before school starts.

This summer, all students (including incoming freshmen) will have a required summer reading assignment to complete before school starts in the fall. Our summer reading program is designed to maintain and strengthen literacy skills, encourage curiosity, and create a foundation for deeper classroom discussions during the upcoming school year.  Learn more and find your student’s course-specific reading list here:

Summer Reading

New for the 2025-26 school year, all 9th graders will be provided a La Salle-managed iPad (with case and keyboard) during academic orientation in August. More details and FAQ can be found here.

Interested in enrolling in an academic course this summer? We are offering the following options on campus at La Salle:

• Algebra 1 (semester 2)
• PE
• Photography and Graphic Design

Classes begin on June 23, and registration ends soon. Sign up online if you’d like to join us this summer!

Academic forecasting was completed in April using the PowerSchool Class Registration Portal.

Many La Salle teams will host camps and/or separate activities, including practices, competitions, social outings, and training sessions throughout the spring and summer and incoming 9th graders are welcome to join these activities! Information regarding these summer athletic opportunities is available now on our website. We'll continue updating the page with current information throughout the spring and summer.

All students participating in summer activities (i.e. football practices, volleyball open gyms, basketball tryouts, cross country runs, etc.) must complete a summer training medical release form. This authorizes your child to participate in summer programming and provides La Salle with necessary information to care for your child in case of emergency.

Camps and sport seasons for high school students in the summer will have separate registration processes. If interested, please be certain to sign up and register for these events in addition to completing the summer training medical release form.

As we near the end of the school year, coaches will send direct messages with additional sport-specific information to families who indicated interest in their sport. If you are not certain about your status on email lists, please complete the Class of 2029 - Athletic & Activity Interest Form to confirm.

Registration for the fall athletic season begins July 1. Student athletes must complete the registration process - including a physical exam - before the first tryout date of each sport season to be cleared for the upcoming school year.

Plan Ahead: Schedule Your Student’s Sports Physical Now!
Be sure to schedule a sports physical exam with your medical provider during the summer in order to submit a current physical to La Salle before tryouts start. Exam forms are available here and completed forms can be mailed to La Salle or uploaded into the registration system when it goes live in July.

Fall sports tryouts & official team practices begin on Monday, Aug 18.  Please keep this in mind when making summer plans if your student plans to participate in a fall sport: boys soccer, girls soccer, girls volleyball, football, cheer, or cross country.

All incoming freshmen are required to take a MAP placement test. Please book your student for one of the following testing dates within your admissions account.

If a student takes a spring MAP test at their current school, they may submit their results to the Vice Principal (kcoughran@lsprep.org) instead of retaking the test at La Salle.

• June 11 – 3:30 pm

The test typically takes 1 hour but is self-paced. Students can take up to 2 hours to complete the test if needed.

Students who want to bypass level one of a language must take a placement exam. The primary test date was in May, but we will offer a makeup test the week of August 18th. More details to come!
