Falcon families help one another during pandemic

In response to the financial hardships many La Salle families are facing because of the coronavirus pandemic, La Salle  has launched the COVID-19 Tuition Relief Fund.

The fund provides tuition assistance to those struggling because of business shutdowns and restrictions imposed by the state to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

So far, the fund has awarded $135,000 to 80 families; the allocations will help families cover their students' tuition the rest of this year or next school year.

More than 80 donors have already given to the fund. Supporters say they want to help La Salle fulfill its mission  - inspired by St. John Baptist de La Salle's work teaching the poor more than 300 years ago - to provide a human and Christian education to children, especially those in need.

La Salle Prep has a history of bringing a Lasallian education within reach of many of its students; the school awarded $2.8 million in tuition assistance to 58% of the student body for the 2019-20 school year.
