UPDATES AND CHANGES TRIGGERED BY COVID-19

Falcons flock back to campus

La Salle Prep teachers and staff members flocked back to campus on May 1 to wave and cheer to students and families as they drove through the parking lot during La Salle's "Be the Light" parade.

The parade started at 7:30 pm when freshmen and families arrived to the school and slowly drove through the parking lot to wave or call out to staffers standing on the sidewalk or sitting in their cars. The parade culminated with the illumination of stadium lights at 8:20 pm to commemorate the Class of 2020.

Staffers and teachers decided to stage the parade to show support to students and their families. Like schools across Oregon, La Salle's campus has been closed for several weeks to abide the governor's order to shut campuses to stem the spread of COVID-19. Students have, however, been learning from their teachers online.
