Lukas Werner ’22 has won U.S. Rep. Kurt Schrader’s 2021 Congressional App Challenge.
Lukas’ winning app - called CloudPC - makes it possible for iPad and Chromebook users to run desktop applications on their devices.
“It’s putting your PC in the cloud so that it can be accessed from anywhere,” he said.
Lukas was inspired to create the app by, in part, his need to run computer design software at school.
Lukas’ app is one of four selected by Oregon representatives in the 2021 challenge. Winners are invited to demonstrate their apps to the U.S. Congress during the national science fair called #HouseOfCode in April.
