Though illness kept many donors from giving as planned, Lasallians still donated 51 units of blood during La Salle's Blood Drive on Monday.
Donations will go to Bloodworks NW, a 73-year-old nonprofit that distributes blood to approximately 90 hospitals and clinics throughout Washington, Oregon, and Alaska.
Each year Bloodworks helps more than 55,000 patients receive life-saving transfusions.
"Thank you to all who came out and donated blood and volunteered," said Kelsey Peyton, Director of Service. "We helped save 153 lives. I really appreciate your help and service to others."
La Salle will host two more blood drives next school year.
