Two La Salle students were honored as among the top athletes in their respective sports during the 66th Annual Oregon Sports Awards last night at the Tiger Woods Center at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton.
Riley Drullinger '19 was one of three high schoolers nominated as Oregon's Female Prep Lacrosse Player of the Year. Though a student at La Salle, Riley played lacrosse for West Linn High.
Taycee Wedin '18 was one of three high schoolers nominated to be Oregon's Female Prep Basketball Player of the Year.
The Oregon Sports Awards program originated as the Hayward Banquet of Champions in 1948 to honor outstanding Oregon amateur and professional athletes, teams, coaches, and sports administrators.
Nominees and award winners are selected by sports journalists and professionals from across the state.
