Get into the Christmas spirit tonight at La Salle.
Start off by shopping at the Holiday Clay Sale in the La Salle Prep art space from 3-7 pm today (and tomorrow). Most items will be priced between $10-$25 each. (Update: sale closed at 6 pm because it sold out. More items will be put out tomorrow.)
Then relax and enjoy holiday music performed by La Salle's Choir and guitarists under the direction of music teacher Otto Wild. The concert starts at 7:30 pm
It's a week of holiday celebrations at La Salle. It started on Tuesday with a band concert led by music teacher John Donnelly and will finish with a Posada celebration organized by registrar Liz Staggs and counselor Maritza Mendez. In between, students and staff completed La Salle's 15th Annual Christmas Drive by giving gifts to more than 30 families in the community.
The Holiday Clay Sale will feature work by Visual Arts in Service students and art teacher Cha Asokan. Proceeds will be split between the Oregon Food Bank and the La Salle Prep Art program.
Morgan Nebels ‘20, said she was looking forward to making bowls, plates, and other pieces for the sale.
“I want to be able to do what I love and give back to the community at the same time,” she said
The sale also will feature baked goods as well as student-designed and produced jewelry, phone cases and ornaments made in the school's M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust Innovation and Design Center.
