Transfer Students

We welcome applications from students interested in transferring to La Salle for a minimum of two years. La Salle does not accept applications from students interested in a transfer for senior year only. Due to full enrollment, La Salle is not accepting applications from international students at this time.

Acceptance depends on several factors, primarily availability and the following minimum criteria for applicants who demonstrate:

  • Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0
  • No D or F grades on transcripts
  • Scores that are at or above grade level on the High School Placement Test or analogous standardized test
  • Good behavioral and attendance records
  • Strong recommendations from the applicant’s counselor or current Principal, math teacher, and English teacher
  • Interest in joining our Lasallian community

Visit us

If you are interested in applying to La Salle as a transfer student, we encourage you to visit us through our Falcon for a Day Program. This is the best way to understand our students and teachers, academics, extra-curricular activities, and what life is like as a Falcon. Registration for Falcon for a Day starts every September.

You are also invited to tour our school and meet our community during the Open House in the fall. Check our website for the date and time of our next Open House.

How to apply

Students will create an account in our digital admissions platform and complete the application and the teacher recommendation/transcript requests online. You may register for your account here: Apply. The deadline for the regular admission process is January 18, 2019, but La Salle will continue to accept transfer applications throughout the spring. Please note that priority is given to students who apply by the initial deadline.

Tuition Assistance

Prospective transfer students are encouraged to apply for financial aid in addition to acceptance for admission.

Limited financial assistance may be available to transfer students but it is not guaranteed; priority is given to returning students and incoming 9th grade students.

Athletic Eligibility

All prospective transfer students must complete the OSAA Intent to Transfer form prior to any affiliation with La Salle. Students interested in transferring must have an administrator from their current school sign the Intent to Transfer form and submit the completed form to the Office of Admissions.

Please check with La Salle Athletic Director Chris George '97 at cgeorge@lsprep.org to determine your eligibility to participate in athletics at La Salle.
