Advanced Athlete Academy (Summer Training Program)

A3 will begin at La Salle on July 1 with a summer conditioning program. This is intended for middle and high school athletes of all sports. Please read below for important information and links to their website for registration and payment.

Purpose
Each athlete will benefit from implementing a performance enhancement program that is utilized in the off-seasons of collegiate and professional athletes. Emphasis will be placed on linear & lateral speed development, core strength, and both aerobic & anaerobic system development. Nutrition & supplemental information will also be shared to help athletes facilitate their nutrition/supplementation needs through the in/off-seasons; dependent upon their genetic muscular structures, sizes and positions. The goal of A3 is to provide athletes every opportunity to succeed in life by using their passion to participate and excel in athletics through advanced Performance Training concepts that are utilized at the professional and Olympic levels.

Director
The program will be overseen by Strength & Conditioning Performance Coach Brad Packer who currently presides as the Performance Director for Advanced Athlete Academy. Coach Packer will be accompanied by an experienced staff of A3 Performance Coaches who are dedicated to helping athletes achieve their goals.

Protocols
The Covid Pandemic has altered the structure of how training will occur this summer, but A3's proven methods of athletic performance enhancement will remain intact. To adhere to the guidelines set forth by the OSAA, athletes will comply with the following:
  • Daily temperature check and questionnaire completed before entering the athletic facility
  • Wear a mask while entering and exiting the facility
  • Wash hands for 20 seconds and maintain 6 feet of distance from other athletes during the workout
  • Participate in the same workout group with 9 other athletes and 1 coach at the same time each day
  • Remain in the same workout group for every session throughout the summer (Sessions are Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday)
  • Equipment will be cleaned and disinfected after each group trains
  • Wash clothing and equipment each day after use

Athletes and trainers will wear masks while entering the facility, during the health screening process and when exiting the facility. While training, athletes and coaches are encouraged to wear masks, but it will not be a requirement due to the strenuous exercising athletes and coaches will be doing while remaining outside.

Registration
Athletes will register for a specific time and remain in their assigned group for the duration of the summer. Due to health guidelines, athletes will not be allowed to change groups, times or days once sessions. Additional times will be set up if necessary. The registration process (emergency medical information, payment and waiver release forms) will occur through the A3 website and the cost for the program is $70. Email Coach Packer (see below) if you need to pay with cash or check. Financial assistance is available for La Salle students upon request through the Andy Belozer Memorial Fund.

After creating a profile on A3's website, you will sign up using their calendar feature. Be careful to sign up for the correct day and time based on your age and gender and please refer to the schedule below to determine which time is best for your child.
