Speech & Debate Team
La Salle Prep is an affiliated with the National Speech & Debate Association. Students become lifetime members of this National Honor Society for speech and debate competitors. As members of the NSDA, students pledge to uphold the highest standards of equity, integrity, respect, leadership, and service in the pursuit of excellence. Since 1925, the National Speech & Debate Association has enrolled more than 1.5 million members. Currently more than 120,000 high school students and 5,000 coach educators are active members. Prominent NSDA alumni include Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts and Associate Justices Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor, and Samuel Alito, media visionaries Ted Turner and Oprah Winfrey and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
