Do you love to snowboard? Do you want to learn or improve your snowboarding skills? Do you want to have fun and make friends from schools across the Portland area? Then snowboarding team is the place for you!

La Salle’s snowboard team is getting ready for the 2021/2022 season and we’re looking to get new riders for the team.  Whether you’ve been riding since you could walk or are brand new to the sport, the team will have a place for you.

Team Details:

East Side Snowboard Team (includes: Cleveland, Grant, Franklin, Central Catholic and La Salle)

  • We are intending to take all riders interested in joining the team this season. We are working on confirming coaches and buses and it's looking good. We would have a bus come/go from Grant and from Cleveland each time.
  • 2022 Practice and Comp schedule is posted on our website - eastsidesnowboardteam.com.  You must fill out the form on this page if you plan to participate.
  • Registration will open by Friday 10/29 and will run through 11/14. You will receive a detailed email with instructions. One form has to be printed and signed in ink and turned in, the rest is all digital including an option to pay electronically. We anticipate the fee will be $790. We will have an in person registration night Wednesday November 3, 7-8pm at Cleveland to collect forms (and checks if you're paying by check) and to answer questions. If you can't make it there will be options to mail or drop forms off.
  • Get your All Access Meadows season pass by Sunday 10/31 at current rates. We've been told pass prices will be going up significantly next week!
  • Hiefield Scholarship applications are due by midnight November 14th. Apply for a scholarship for an All Access season pass! If you've already purchased your pass you'll get a refund if you are selected. Application and details attached.

 

Additional information:

  • There are 5-8 practices on Wednesday or Thursday nights starting in January through the beginning of March
  • There will be 6 competitions per season held on the weekends, 2 of each of the following: Slopestyle (a terrain park competition of jumps and rails), Halfpipe, and banked slalom/boardercross (single racing and a race between 4 people)
  • All practices and competitions will be held at Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort
