La Salle alumna and former editor of The Falconer Maddie Khaw ’21 has taken on a prestigious internship at The Boston Globe. After showing up on the cover of the Metro section of The Globe several times in her first month, she now has her first front-page byline.

Maddie earned a spot with The Globe’s Co-op Program which offers undergraduate students an entry-level position to become familiar with the operations of a daily newspaper and provide students an opportunity to attain real-life experience related to their field of study.

Maddie is a junior at Emerson College and is double-majoring in journalism and interdisciplinary studies. She will continue as a paid reporter at The Boston Globe at least through June. Maddie also served as an assistant news editor for Emerson’s student newspaper, The Berkeley Beacon, for three semesters. In addition, Maddie plays for the women’s soccer team at Emerson.

In the spring of 2022, Maddie served as the guest editor of The La Salle Prep Review.
