Starting in Fall 2025, La Salle is launching a Pathways in STEM initiative, enhancing and developing coursework in computer science, robotics, and engineering.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment in computer and information technology will grow significantly between 2023 and 2033. Fields such as robotics and computer science are leading the way, driven by advancements in artificial intelligence, automation, and the expansion of the internet. La Salle’s investment in STEM education ensures students are not only prepared for these high-demand majors but also possess the ability to problem-solve, think critically and creatively, and contribute to a diverse, complex, and rapidly evolving society.
To support this vision, La Salle is launching a Pathways in STEM initiative, enhancing and developing coursework in computer science, robotics, and engineering. Starting in Fall 2025, students will have access to new semester courses, including Computer Science 1 & 2, Computer Game Design 1 & 2, and Robotics 1 & 2, forming the foundation of a Computer Science and Robotics Pathway. These courses will excite and inspire students to pursue further coursework in these fields.
Additionally, La Salle Prep is hiring a Director of Computer Science and Robotics to lead the computer science and robotics electives, establish a robotics team, and collaborate on schoolwide technology initiatives and best practices. At La Salle, we believe in the transformative power of education and the immense potential of young people. By expanding educational opportunities, we will equip students to thrive in and contribute to today’s digital economy and environment.
