This fall has been full of academic growth, achievements, and recognition for the students of La Salle Prep.
Kari Yatsushiro '25 has been named a semifinalist for a prestigious National Merit Scholarship. With 1.4 million student applicants each year, Yatsushiro is one of around 17,000 semifinalists named, a testament to her academic achievements and variety of interests and extracurriculars. Will Hambuchen '25 and Phoebe Sandholm '25 have also been named as commended finalists in recognition of their academic excellence and the strength of their applications.
This week saw another celebration of academic success when 59 La Salle students were inducted into the National Honors Society in recognition of their excellence in scholarship, service, leadership, and character. With 1.4 million members nationally, NHS is one of the largest and most widely recognized co-curricular student organizations. The society describes its members as students who excel, learn, lead, and succeed, four attributes that are exemplified by this year’s new members.
Congratulations to this year’s National Merit Scholars and National Honors Society inductees! La Salle is proud to be the home of such high-flying Falcons.
