It is with great sadness we share the news of the passing of La Salle alumna and celebrated golf coach Nancy Kessler McDaniel '84.

Born and raised in Portland, Nancy attended La Salle from 1980-84. She quickly established herself as a committed and talented athlete, leading women's basketball to the state championship her senior year.

Graduating in 1984, Nancy went on to attend the University of Washington, where she was the Husky's women's golf team captain, an All-American, and earned Pac-10 All-Decade Team honors.

After five years playing golf professionally, she became the founding coach of the University of California Berkley women's golf team, which she led for 29 seasons. During her time with the team, the Golden Bears reached 10 NCAA Championship appearances, 22 NCAA regional appearances, and two conference Championships.
